Fr. Sebastian understood the importance of practical, hands-on learning in music. To bridge the gap between classroom lessons and professional experience, he established a digital recording studio, providing students with exposure to advanced music production

techniques. Additionally, under his leadership, an auditorium with a seating capacity of 300 was constructed, creating a platform for students to perform in front of their families, friends, and the community.

1. The Transformative Era of Fr. Xavier at KalaGramam (2000–2007)

Under the visionary leadership of Fr. Xavier, KalaGramam evolved into a vibrant Music Academy. A passionate lover of music and a dynamic leader, Fr. Xavier brought remarkable transformations to KalaGramam through his dedication and multifaceted talents.

As a forward-thinking director, he emphasized the importance of professionalism and quality education by appointing skilled tutors across various disciplines. To nurture and assess talent, he introduced a “Talent Test” system, conducted every three months, which significantly motivated students to excel in their chosen fields.

During his tenure, KalaGramam achieved a major milestone by affiliating with the London College of Music. This affiliation enabled the academy to offer internationally recognized certificate courses in music, enhancing its reputation and reach.

Fr. Xavier also introduced various cultural and artistic activities, including:

• Organizing competitions such as patriotic song contests and drawing competitions, fostering creativity and enthusiasm among participants.
