Fr. Mathews Payyappilly MCBS, an accomplished musician and visionary leader, served as the Director of MCBS KalaGramam for a decade, from 2013 to 2023. His tenure was marked by a deep commitment to the transformative power of music and its ability to heal, inspire, and connect people with truth, goodness, and beauty. Drawing on the words of Don Saliers, who said, “Whatever people can say with passion and heightened speech, they will end up singing in some form” Fr. Just as a skilled conductor brings harmony to an orchestra by recognizing the unique worth of each instrument, Fr. Mathews viewed God as the ultimate conductor, revealing the hidden treasures in each individual’s life and guiding them to their highest potential.
