Kuchipudi is a classical dance form that originated in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is known for its graceful movements, fast footwork, and dynamic expressions that blend dance, drama, and music. Kuchipudi performances often include storytelling through hand gestures (mudras) and facial expressions (abhinaya), accompanied by Carnatic music. Unlike some other classical dances, Kuchipudi traditionally involves both male and female dancers and includes unique elements like dance sequences on a brass plate (Tarangam). A practitioner of Kuchipudi is called a Kuchipudi dancer.
